Get ready for United Way’s ULTIMATE BURGER BATTLE!
The Ultimate Burger Battle brings new and returning customers to local eateries, all while raising funds for local needs, right here in our community!
Here’s How It Works

Restaurants create a signature “Ultimate Burger" to sell throughout the month of November.

Step 3
$2 per Ultimate Burger sold is donated back to the United Way of Thunder Bay.

NOURISH THE NORTH
Funds raised from the Ultimate Burger Battle support United Way of Thunder Bay’s NOURISH the North.
NOURISH the North unites farmers, food producers, Indigenous partners, community organizations, and local businesses to build a sustainable, circular food system that strengthens communities across Northwestern Ontario.
By connecting locally grown food with local needs, we help ensure that individuals, families, children, and seniors facing food insecurity have access to fresh, nutritious meals. At the same time, we support long-term food security by building systems rooted in local relationships, shared infrastructure, and regional capacity.
We recognize that lasting food security requires more than emergency responses — it depends on a resilient, place-based food system grounded in collaboration, care, and respect for diverse knowledge systems, including Indigenous food sovereignty. By investing in community-led solutions that connect programs, people, and places, NOURISH the North is planting the seeds for a thriving, healthier, food-secure future across Northwestern Ontario.
